Getting Started

  • Team up with other league parents to brainstorm on different outlets in your community you can tap for funding resources. Tell them about your commitment to sports safety education for youth coaches and encourage them to become PASS members.
  • Create a buzz about sports safety education in your community and among your local contacts, business leaders, government officials, city councilmen, etc…
  • Utilize the contacts you may already have. This is the best place to start. If you team up with other parents, this can increase the number of personal contacts you have and make things easier when you are ready to look for supporters.
  • If there is a need for funding for your league, consider local car dealerships, dry cleaners, restaurants, florists and other businesses for potential sponsorship funds.

Obtaining A Sponsorship

Often times, youth leagues depend solely upon donations, players' fees and sponsorships to fund their programs. As a PASS member, you will have access to tips and tools to get these much needed funds for your child's athletic program.
