The National Center for Sports Safety Announces the Re-launch of www.SportsSafety.org, The Leading Sports Safety Resource

Birmingham, AL — The National Center for Sports Safety (NCSS) announces the re-launch of www.SportsSafety.org, the leading sports safety website for parents, coaches and athletes. The website is being relaunched in conjunction with the introduction of a new NCSS program, Parent Ambassadors for Sports Safety (PASS).
The revamped website features sections that highlight new and existing programs as well as interactive components. New sections to www.SportsSafety.org include: the PASS program, which provides parents with information about the importance of sports safety education and resources to help secure sponsorships in their community; the NCSS National Coaches Registry, a database where parents and administrators can verify whether a coach has completed the NCSS education course; Forum, where individuals can post questions, comments and learn what is going on in other communities with regard to youth sports; Poll, which allows visitors to respond to various topics related to youth sports; “Ask the Expert”, where visitors may submit sport-related questions to the NCSS panel of sports medicine professionals, Upcoming Events, a listing of conferences and meetings that NCSS representatives will attend; and Participating Groups, which are groups who have committed to raising the standard in youth sports be encouraging its members to take the NCSS online sports safety course, PREPARE.
The National Center for Sports Safety hopes that with the new look, the new PASS parent program and enhanced website features, visitors will return time and time again to get the most up-to-date sports safety information.
“It is important that we provide visitors to our website with new and fresh material and resources. Though the NCSS message of sports safety education has been consistent, with these added features, we are able to provide content in creative ways that independently target each audience,” says Lawrence J. Lemak M.D., founder of the NCSS.
With the re-launch of www.SportsSafety.org, the NCSS sets itself apart from all others in the industry by providing visitors with a continuous flow of new information, and to communicate with other individuals who put the safety of youth athletes first.
